What is happening with Codex and Block Fabric?
Codex and Block Fabric are coming together as one unified hosting service. As part of this transition, the combined hosting platform will transition to operate under the name Codex.
During the transition period, you may see the service referred to as Codex / Block Fabric. Over time, all branding and references will move fully to Codex.
Simply put, Codex and Block Fabric are becoming one and the same service.
Why are Codex and Block Fabric merging?
This transition allows us to:
- Decentralize hosting services by moving to a community-owned model where the node owners own the servers and revenue is shared to the users
- Provide hosting support for ecosystem products and services
- Improve infrastructure and performance
- Streamline support and product development
- Build toward a stronger, long-term platform
Bringing the services together helps us focus resources on one platform and provide a better experience for all users.
What does this mean for current Block Fabric users?
Nothing changes for you right now.
- Your account remains active
- Your nodes remain running
- Your configurations stay the same
- Your access remains the same
There is currently no action required on your part.
You can continue using your Block Fabric account at https://www.blockfabric.host as you do today.
Do I need to migrate my account?
No. There is no migration required at this time. If anything changes in the future, we will provide clear instructions well in advance.
Will pricing change?
There are no pricing changes being announced as part of this transition. If pricing updates ever occur, they will be communicated clearly and ahead of time.
Will my service or uptime be affected?
No. This transition is focused on branding and platform unification, not service disruption. Reliability and uptime remain top priorities.
Why do I sometimes see “Codex / Block Fabric”?
During the transition, both names may appear together. This simply reflects the move toward a single Codex-branded service.
If you see either name, it refers to the same hosting platform.
Where should I go for support?
Continue using your normal support channels with BlockBot and at support.connectunited.com. There are no changes to how you get help or manage your nodes.
What happens next?
Over time:
- Branding will shift toward Codex
- Messaging will become unified
- The hosting experience will continue to improve
We will keep users informed at every step.
