After purchasing a node and linking your brand account, you need to get your node online in order to earn rewards! From My Nodes, click on Set Up Nodes. You'll be directed to Node Setup. Here you will find options to run your node license on software downloaded to a local device, through a VPS service such as Vultr, or on the Block Fabric platform. Instructions for each option can be found on this page, as well as here.
For help getting your node online with Block Fabric, view the following video, or consult the text instructions below:
In this example, we'll use Block Fabric (previously called Node Engine). Click on "Set Up Your Nodes" in the Block Fabric feature at the top of the page.
You'll be redirected to the Block Fabric site to create an account. After creating an account and logging in, Select the "Start Hosting" button.
Select the brand (community) node you would like to host. Add the number of Smart Nodes and Nodes (previously Lite Nodes) you currently own for that brand. This will create one hosting instance. Each instance can run multiple lite and smart nodes from a single brand, but different brands will need a unique instance. For example, you can run 3 Win Smart Nodes and 1 Win lite node on the same instance, but a Galvan lite node would needs its own instance.
Proceed to checkout. Enter your payment information, taking note of billing dates. You'll only need to enter payment information on your first hosting instance. Billing information will be saved and applied to additional instances. You may also be asked to verify your account during the setup of your first instance.
Lastly, enter the email and password associated with the brand for which you are creating an instance. For example, if this was an instance for a Win node, you'd enter your Connect account email and login password.
Hit Deploy. Your Node Block Fabric dashboard will reflect "Engine On" for the instance you have created.
Please note it may take up to one hour for hosted nodes to reflect as online in your Connect account. At that time, you can go back to web.connectunited.com and select My Nodes from your dashboard. You should see that your node is online!
You've done it! By now. you should have created a Connect account and brand accounts, purchased your node(s), and put your node(s) online! Check your BlockBot Report to see earned rewards, and check out the Share page to share Connect with friends!
