What is a transaction hash?
A transaction hash (also called a txn hash, tx hash or a hash ID) is a unique code, similar to a receipt, that serves as proof a transaction was successfully validated on the blockchain.
Every time you make a transaction, the blockchain creates this hash so you can verify:
when it was sent,
the amount,
the wallet addresses involved, and
whether it was confirmed successfully.
To view the details behind a TX hash, you use a block explorer—a public website that lets you look up transactions and see what’s happening on the blockchain in real time. Examples include Etherscan for Ethereum-based networks or BscScan for Binance Smart Chain.
Block explorers make it easy to track your activity, troubleshoot issues, or confirm that a transaction went through.
Finding your transaction hash for Connect purchases:
Whenever you complete a purchase through the Connect shopping cart, a transaction hash is automatically generated and recorded on the blockchain. This hash allows you (and others) to verify that your transaction has been processed and confirmed.
You can find the transaction hash for any purchase by following the steps below:
1. Sign in to web.connectunited.com/login
2. Select the user icon in the top-right corner of the screen
3. Select "Order History" from the dropdown menu
4. Select the "View Details" button on the desired order.
5. Here, the transaction hash will be displayed as the "Transaction ID". Clicking on the link will take you to etherscan.io, where you can view further details regarding the transaction.
